so i added a breather filter onto my valve cover. now every time i go into boost i throw oil vapors all over everything. has anyone else with a 3800 had this problem and if so what you did to fix it. i was thinking about a catch can for it but not sure how the oil goes back into the system.

hmm, thats not good. somehow boost is leaking into your crank case.

you plugged the pcv hole right?

How much boost you running and what kind of breather do you have? The one that screws into the oil neck or did you remove your neck as well and throw a breather on?

          Duh.

There is a small bypass around the TB plate that feeds air DIRECTLY into the crankcase. This is part of the PVC system. Unless you plug that line - like 97rs4life asked.

I have yet to hear success from a valve cover breather on these cars.

Andrew and I both plugged the PCV inside the TB and drilled holes to vent outside the TB and havent had a single problem yet.

get one a sweat wrist band (like for basketball) and put it around the breather, does wonders. change it every couple months

yea take off your tb and there is a little hole that you have to tap and put a plug in. You can see in the tb where the hole is by looking through the inlet. Graymans site has a walkthrough of it
