So I have to get a new turbo..

Yeah I have to get a new turbo since the one I got was DOA. The place I brought it to told me they might have some in stock that I could use but he needs a reference as to what size he should be looking for. I don't know a ton about turbo AR numbers and such so I need some help.

I did come to the conclusion that the max turbine AR should be at .68
I don't know about the compressor side though, I couldn't really find anything specifically about that.

The guy told me he found one with a turbine of .83 and compressor of .70 And I was like... yeah I'm gonna have to check with my guys on this forum. $550.00 bucks and it's a garret. My guess is that he has to look around in his stock some more :(

This is basically for a track car that has to drive itself to the track. hah. No trailer hitch on my other camaro.

And correct me if I'm wrong because this is a shot in the dark.. If a turbo is called like a t3 or t4 does that just describe the exhaust mounting flange?

Turbonetics 62-1 (t3/t4, .63 a/r) is becoming more popular and is capable of making very good power on a stock motor, but you will need a wastegate for it. A few dudes on FTV6 have them and like them.

The Master Power T70 is a decent unit for the money as well, but again you will need a wastegate. Also know that the MP T70 is a tad too big for stock heads/cam and stall. It takes quite awhile to build boost. I know this because I have one, I use nitrous to make up for boost lag and my stall helps quite a bit as well.

Im not 100% sure, but I think that t4 refers to the compressor housing while t3 refers to the exhaust housing flange. I did A LOT of searching and every t3/t4 was a t3 flange which I didnt want, I needed a t4.

This guy is gonna find me one off of his shelves that best fits my app so I'm not gonna be buying one online. I did have a turbonetics t3/t4. I have a wastegate already in my Y pipe. So when I go back to this guy I'm gonna tell him I want the turbine as close to .68 as possible but no higher and the compressor side somethin.. I dunno yet. <--- where I need help. I'll go look up the specs on the turbo's you mentioned but eh, if theres anything else you think I should know please don't hesitate.

I do plan to upgrade my heads and cam in the future. I've already done valve springs and rockers.

I got a my new turbo today. A re-manufactured garret T04b80. .69 turbine AR and .60 compressor AR. The compressor wheel looks almost half an inch smaller than the turbonetics wheel I had. What the heck is that gonna do to my boost and whatnot? The exhaust side is almost exactly the same besides the mounting flange. Ugh I'm goin to bed. I'm getting a headache thinking about this.

Dude are you kidding me? You're pretty dense huh? If I was looking for a turbo I would be in a different section on the forum. Btw, I'm obviously not going to buy it so you can stop now. And also, I know how to spell.
And for future reference, I wouldn't try to insult someone who you're trying to sell your crap to. I was interested in the turbo manifolds you were making but definitely not anymore.

ANYWAYS.

While hooking the new turbo up and getting all excited something else took a **** apparently. It sounded like the starter clicking really fast and not doin ****. This has been one problem after another. If it's not someone ripping me off it's a f'n starter freezing up. My dad says it's doing that because the battery is too low. I killed the battery pretty much from taking off the starter then testing it and whatnot. So after a good charge hopefully all is well.
