Re: Powerdyne BD11A + intercooler bad, refresh my memory please.
Cool guys. that is some of the info i needed, especialy the pics of the intake mounted nozzles. shame we have to put it so close to the valves. if it works though, thats a start atleast. honestly, im with techsan23 and the way he moved his maf closer to the blower so that his water nozzle could be in the discharge pipe and atomize with the compressed air better. its just too bad the water/meth contaminates the IAT and MAF sensor.
As for the meth nozzle being post IAT sensor...I suppose i can tune the timing with trial and error, but i will never know 'how much' cooling of the intake (blower) air is taking place. I guess i will count my gains from meth injection in degrees of timing advance i might gain back.
ssms5411, if i remembere correctly, you only had your meth kit hooked up for like a couple days or a week or too before your powerdyne needed bearings or something (unrelated) then when you had just got your blower back you had to sell off your mods so you never realy got a chance to tune the meth and compare gains, correct?
as for upgrading the injectors, im going to go look at that electrical connection adapter(s) that 97rs4life mentioned. i hope they are not the same old ones that require phsyical splicing. (with gas the way it is i might just demod this car, sell it as stock, by a new gas mizer daily driver and keep my eye out for a 6m 98+ transam for the weekends and summer)
I also want to see if the powerdyne discharge temps can be reduced before put a smaller pully on the blower and invest in bigger injectors. I would hate to loose the psi gains to heat soak.
