Hmm.. I don't know how the 3.4s are but.. There's a fitting some one around here makes that goes into the oil lvl sensor people use as a return line in the 3.8. Wait wait, is that a lvl sensor? I'll see if I can find it. Yes. Dropping the pan was a big pain in the ***.

No sensor. But if you're putting a turbo in your car I really hope you'd check your oil frequently anyways. Also, you have a oil pressure sensor still right?

As much as I'd hope people would do it to, it frequently doesn't happen.

you could also run a t-fitting to your Oil Pressure sender and run the line from there, couldn't you?

I ran mine to the timing cover with some brass fittings from home depot.
The return line was 5/8 rubber hose.
The line at the sending unit would be for your supply not your return.

                      Re: turbo oiling

weld a bumg to the oil pan after drilling a hole it is easiest and cheapest oh but make sure there are no crankcase vapors first i about lost my eyebrows the first time doing that. apparently when you make fire next to crankcase vapors it makes a mini flame thrower into your welding helmet

                        Re: turbo oiling

The OP didn't want to drill into the oil pan without dropping it.. and he didn't want to drop the pan. Which I completely understand.. what I wouldn't want to do is drill into my oil pan with it on. Lots of little metal particles in the oil pan doesn't really sound tempting.

start the bit to where it almost breaks through the pan wait for bit to cool down low speed drill the rest with grease on the end of the bit. It traps all the shavings also if your looking to firther safe guard it put a magnet on the bit i did this with no issues plus you can even spray some brake cleaner in there after your done and throw a quart of oil and drain it if you are really anal. but it worked fine alot of people i know have done this with no problems

It's mounted about in the center of the timing cover but you really need to remove the cover to do it to make sure you don't have any clearance problems. I happen to have the timing cover off when I did it.

I probably should have done that. I went through the trouble of dropping the oil pan when I had the timing cover off anyways.
