  • too much timing for FI

what is too much timing to be running a Powerdyne @ 6lbs and 92 gas (thats what it was tuned for and has only ran 92 for several years i am not changing) on a stock motor.. my tuning guy just told me that he has it set up for far too much timing on a FI motor..

btw this is an 01 camaro

In ther AZ heat I could only get 11 degrees in the summer(100-120 degress) and 13 in the winter(60-90 degrees).

as of right now i am running 21 degrees of timing @ peak torque as is when the tune sees boost from the sc it should drop to 18 but that is as low as it will go because my tune is not for FI... the guy who tunes my car said "Thats not horrible, but its still as little high. If you've got a good intercooler and keep the boost to under 6psi you'll probally be ok." and the temps here are not very high as i live in southern ohio

I could see you running more timing since your in cooler weather, just got to scan now and then to make sure your seeing no KR.

thats really what you have to go by, every car/setup is going to be different.
