  • Picked up my turbo today

Just got back from picking up my GT35R turbo polished housing .63 A/R 3" Vband. I will try to get some pics of it. Total was $1300 and it would have been around $1600 if I didn't go through this guy. So saved $300 and no tax either. It is small but he said it should be a street monster with the 3.73's in back. The spool time will be quick and he said even in first gear with the 3.73's I should see alittle boost. I can't wait to get this in and running. let me see if I can find a camara to take some pics:

He said I could push it to about 450 at the wheels max then i would have to get a .83 A/R to get the max 600HP out of it. I'm only looking for 350-400 at the wheels max. Thats what his words were it is going to be a great street machine.LOL I'm starting to load pics now. heres one more:

can you take photos of the install with a small write up? Im thinking of either going turbo or SC. but i dont know which yet. or if I just dump the $ and put it into a v8. Just want something to tinker with.. its warming up and im getting board.

I can do some pics of the install if I can remember, I know it won't be a day install, I can take pics of the oil sender tee and coolant tee and parts thats no problem. I could of put a LS1 or LS2 in here if I wanted too, but I like my V6 and have alot into the engine, forged pistons, cam, clev.77 bearings etc, so might as well get my 400 hp out of this engine rather than a LSX one, my build with parts will be a little over $3000. So I think it is a bargin. Pics posted up top,^ I also added the polished heat sheild on it to see what it would look like.

It will be nice to run with the V8's, then show them your running 2 cylinders less.
It's my goal. Gain some respect

Yeah, I got tired of filling bottles for nitrous and wanted something that was ready all the time, plus the turbo sound and blow off valve is a plus too. Here is some pics of the Tial 38mm wastegate with 11 PSI spring and my intercooler 31 X 12 X 4 with 3" in/outlets. gets hot in AZ so this beast should cool it down some.

Re: Picked up my turbo today

Looks alot like the one I put on the 97 Camaro.... The owner sent it to me.
The one installed is not a bb. however.
That should give very quick responce.
The 97 is headed back home this week.. all done.
I can't tune it much more since the new found power is now over powering the clutch.
But it's consistant 11.4-6AFR under wot. And 3% LTFT's while cruzing around.
Drives out nice but needs alot better clutch@!
