Not a good idea. Turbo's create a TON of heat which does not help in making power.

people have done it and do it, but yea not ideal for turbos to be w/out an intercooler. If you are going through the hassle of making a turbo kit, do it right the first time.

well i just wanted ti get this thing up a running and could run the intercooler when i get the money, but i have everything else right now

also, can i have just a blow off valve, or do i need a wastegate also

you need to stop trying to find ways to cut corners and just do it right the first time. Save yourself headaches and money in the long run

im not, im just asking, they do the same thing pretty much, i didnt know if they were both needed

no intercooler... no wastegate... you are looking for ways to cut corners and not just asking.

I am trying to help him in the long run...seen it too often with people trying to do "cheap" projects and end up sinking more than they had to into a project because they didn't do it correctly the first time and had to redo their previous work

i agree...we've all been there at some point or another. obviously this is a big project for such a young guy to tackle so i'm sure he appreciates us helping---but ya gotta expect noob questions i suppose haha.

your right i am just trying to rush it, i have this turbo sitting on my desk and it kills me i cant put it in

but so far i have the turbo,blow off valve, ngk tr6 plugs, 8.5 msd wires, 3" in/out borla xr-1 muffler, piping, boost controller

and i need a wastegate, intercooler, boost gauge,wideband, pillar, oil lines and the flages to fit my turbo for them, anyone know where i can get them?
