Oil delivery to turbo

Where can I find one of those connectors that goes between the engine and the oil filter for supplying oil to the turbo?

I have seen them, but can't find the right one for my 99 Camaro.
Is there anything wrong with using them?

Also, where would I return the oil line to, into the upper portion of the oil pan?


I've been trying to get this project started for two years now, (money/logistics) and I've almost got everything I need, but I still need to learn some of the particulars.

Just go to a hardware store and get a T fitting that has 1/8 inch male NPT threads on one end, 1/8 NPT female on the other and a female 1/8 NPT in the middle...they are only a few bucks. I will try and get you pics of mine later. Remind me.

Yup. You'll have to drill/tap the pan. Measure how far it will have to go then get a -10 AN stainless steel hose and fittings for it.

^ Yes a -4an line for the feed about 3ft. with the proper restrictor for the turbo and -10an line for the drain 3ft or so, but would have to measure your setup to make sure.

So where do I put this fitting when I get it? Where does it get oil from?
Also, if anyone knows, how much oil pressure does my particular turbo need?

It's a Turbonetics t60-1 ar .63 with the ceramic bearings.
I got it new from the Turbonetics website, and it came with virtually no paperwork.

I would read up on turbos some more and also tuning for the extra power, you just can't slap a turbo on and think the car will run great. If your asking these basic questions then you shouldn't put a turbo on your car, until you know what everything is and what it does.

The turbo gets oil from where the oil pressure sensor is located.

For the return, you can get a fitting that goes where the oil level sensor
is and not have to drill/weld the oil pan.

I actually have one of those thats never been installed (decided to do something else) if someone wants it. I'll let it go for cheap...

I haven't put the turbo on my car. I've been gathering parts and information for 2-1/2 years and I plan to be quite ready before I do.

I have DHP for tuning.

These simple questions are the most difficult part of it for me. I don't know, I guess I'm automodislexic.

What are you guys doing about the excessive oil pressure? There's way more than what the turbo is supposed to have.

I thought I could just find an oil pressure regulator, but all I can find are restrictors. I don't know what the pressure is after the restrictor!

I would be interested in that fitting that goes where the oil level sensor is by the way.

An oil restictor is what you need.

Did the turbo not come with a restrictor? My 62-1 did, which is why
I'm asking. If it didn't, you need to call turbonetics and figure out
what to get.

Hey, this is Hamster. I don't remember why I chose such a goofy username a couple of years ago, but this is the new one. (Kilted) I play the bagpipes you see. It's only slightly less goofy, but it'll do.

As for the oil fitting,
I want it!
