    For the tiny weight shift difference, you are asking for trouble with those very long battery cables. I hope you don't mind opinions, but if I were you I would avoid this modification.

      tru, but then again, every little bit helps right...Trying to do what I can as far as weight goes, to the point where if someone sits in the car they still think its stock (except for sound)

        How would I go about venting the battery outside?

          Vent hose from the battery box to outside of the cabin. Just drill a small hole and route it through there; shouldn't be too difficult. I'm planning on trying this too sometime.

            Can I use that drain plug at the bottom (putting it in the area of the old spare tire)

              Theres drain plugs in 2-3 spots in the hatch floor and 1 where the spare tire is, mine is done in the hatch where the hatch is. If you get a Optima you don't have to worry about fumes building up in the car.

                I'll be using the stock CAA battery until it dies and I can buy optima...So the bottom drains things are ok?
