Ok so I currently own a 98 firebird and my problem now that I can't figure out for the life of me is my got danm window !!! My window motor is still good and all but for some reason the window comes up and down cricked I've checked it all and everything looks normal and it's still on the track it just won't fit back to normal and this all just happened out if no where when I was rolling it up !! I can figure it out as j spent ) hrs trying to !!! I think I'm just gunna have to pay a shop on this one : ( !!!

I feel your pain.... i replaced both window motors and the passenger side still didn't work so i took it to the shop and it still takes weeks to roll up. So i give up.

LOL...manual window conversion...

But seriously, there is most likely a clip broken somewhere...try doing the window up with the door panel off, so you can see whats going on...

I really want to do manual window conversion, but that would be a PITA for a convertible, not work wise, but for when I take the top down, I'd have to reach across and roll the window down by hand. I'm to lazy.

i actually had manual windows to start and put in a power conversion kit back in 2003 and they still work to this day.

and ironically enough, my '00 ls1 with power everything has window problems now...

luck of the draw i guess.

the problem on mine is that the teeth on the regulator where it hooks up to the motor are broken it goes up halfways but i have to pull it up with my hand to go all the way up and it slowly goes down. i have to replace the whole regulator but haven gotten around to it

you see the problem with mine is that the motor still works perfectly and the window goes all the way up and down and not slow at all its just it doesn't come up properly, it comes up side ways or slanted as if it was off track but i checked and its not everything seems perfect and i cant figure out why its doing that?
i have to adjust it on the way up so that it doesnt fall over and then i cant even get it to seal all the way so when it is closed it doesnt seal so water still gets in !!!

i suggest you take of the door panel and roll it up and down a couple of times and see if you can spot the problem
