How long have your 3.4 coils lasted? I replaced one at 240,000 and another at 245,000. Guess they were wore out. Runs like crap on 4 cylinders. guess I need to replace the last one at 250,000.

I replaced all three about 2 and 1/2 years ago. No trouble since. I would suggest replacing them as a set, and in your case change the last one very soon.

I changed all three of mine. If you just change one then it will not really make a difference.

Went to Advance Auto and bought the Borg Warner brand. Since they are easy to change and I know what happens when they got bad, I'll just stick to one at a time. I don't figure that the car will last another set anyway. It's only got 1/4 million miles on it.

Yea it does. You need to pull the plug wires off of one of the coils and drive it around. Then put them back on and repeat that statement. Or not repeat it.

Until it leaves you stranded on the side of the road. If two have failed already it would make sense to change the third one before it fails, IMO.

Hasn't left me stranded yet. Just runs like crap. It will run on 4 cylinders. Gas mileage drops to about 20.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend you, but so do I. I guess mine went more bad than yours.

Any recommendations for brands? Got one for MSD, one for Borg Warner. Im looking at Delphi, since I used them for my O2 sensors. Maybe ACDelco also?

I just put a BW from Advance Auto back on it. Seems to work fine for now, guess we will know in another 1/4 million miles.
