Hey all,
Just recently, I have noticed a problem with my speedometer, and what I thought at first, was my vss (vehicle speed sensor). I noticed that my speedometer wasn't working when driving in town, but was working when I reached highway speeds. Later, I found out that this was because my foot was hovering the clutch when driving through town. This caused the clutch to be ever so slightly pushed in, (i'm talkin half an inch, just enough to allow my foot to rest on it gently, ready to engage and shift). when i would not hover the clutch pedal, the speedometer would work, but when i'd prepare to shift and hover again, it would drop to 0. when the clutch is fully engaged, the speedometer usually works just fine. Is this a problem with my vss? and if so, what does it have to do with hovering the clutch pedal??? any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks
