  • Car in terrible shape after intake gasket swap

sad day for my old v6. car had been having slight issues. oil in coolant was the worst and most recent sign. there was also a slight noise coming from bottom end after revs... rods??? anyway, the intake gaskets had begun leaking, so i swapped them. it took me a while as it did it little by little... so it sat for a while. but i finally got it back together today. started it up, and it sounded so horrible. clanked a few times at me. and died. never got better, but i didnt mess with it much since it sounded so messed up... Not really sure what i screwed up, or if from sitting so long and starting i finally spun the rod... or if maybe i dropped something in the top and bent a valve or something? I'm pretty fed up with this motor. not sure what the future will be for the car at this point.

Sorry to hear that, Did you double check your spark plug wires and everything, that did sound bad , but I have heard worse. Did it throw any codes? You can get a L26 engine and swap it in , would be a nice upgrade.
