When I had my poly mounts put in...it pinched the throttle cable wire...so in order to fix the problem we kind of tried bending the throttle plate...it wasnt until a bit llater that we realized the plate was missing a screw. We replaced the screw, and bent the throttle plate back...but it still seems as if it is maybe 100 rpm too high...how do you know how much slack is supposed to be in the throttle cables? Or how can you tell if it is setup properly? I had a perfect sounding idle...it doesn't sound so perfect anymore....

Unhook the cable from the linkage. See if it returns to normal.

it doesnt...I heard they are not adjustable...it seems tighter then before...before I could see some slack in it...we were trying to figure out how to make the cable retract...if its possible...

no the bracket was moved and possibly bent when the motor mounts were down and they had to move the engine around. I just need to know when it is 100% back to the same way it should be...ie how much slack there should be on the cable, or how you know when its set 100%...like how would I be able to tell if the throttle is open 100% when my foots to the floor...and not only open 95% of the way.

            Re: Throttle cable

There is also a adjuster nut on the drivers side that controls how much the TB blade is open at idle, just make sure your TB cable is almost tight leave a little slack. Then if you need to adjust idle use the screw on the TB. I had to redo my whole TB cable linkage basically flipped upside down and cut in half. This was becuase I went from a M5 to A4 and the linkage is diffferent for the TB's since I put a A4 TB on.

push the pedal to the floor, and then adjust the cable to where there is no slack
