The Story:
Okay so I searched around and found some posts that sort of tackled my problem only mine seems to be one of mixed evils.
So one day a while back I was driving on the highway and well here in Tampa rush hour sucks and I hit "the parking lot" so as I slowed to a stop my oil pressure dropped and the car did this weird sputter thing and almost died but then came back alive and started running fine. (not sure if this had anything to do with current problem but figured it might)
Next ( a couple weeks later) I noticed that my oil pressure dropped after 15 minutes or so to about 10 - 20... So paranoid I was loosing oil i put a half a quart more in and it gave me a little more pressure but didn't fix the problem.
Also around the same time my car started heating all the way up to red then after showing the somethings wrong with something light for 30 seconds it declined to half way. Then a minute or two after that same thing again. So I then added some water to the radiator and all was fine it stopped overheating (but oil pressure not fixed).
Current Problem:
Car is overheating and oil pressure is dropping to nothing only when idling and after car heats up. I already replaced the sending unit.
I am pretty technically inclined however from what Ive read sounds like it it could be the oil pump and or a worn bearing or gasket etc... Is there any way to tell exactly what it is?
