Re: why does my car smell like gas.
These are all very true statements. All the fuel needs is a bit of heat to turn it into a fog, then watch out! Optimum burn is at 14.7 parts of air to 1 part of fuel, which is like an area of a large house compared to an area of a small super ball to get the blast.

Re: why does my car smell like gas.
fuel smell coming from the engine bay or towards the rear of the car? if its the rear, check your gas cap, fuel filter and check the charcoal canister and purge valve if equipped. they are located behind a panel in the left rear wheel well. if in the engine bay check your injectors, fuel lines (where they connect to the rail aswell) fuel pressure regulator and such
