    3.4 Timing Chain or Belt?

    Just wondering......does the 3.4 have a timing belt or timing chain?
    Either way at what mileage should it be replaced?
    Has anyone done it themselves?

      Chain...and it doesn't really have a "service interval." However, if you do decide to change it, you CAN get a Cloyes true double roller timing set and you can change your cam timing from there +/- 2 degrees. That set is around $90 where a regular set would be about $25.

        and the 3.8 is a chain too right? is this cloyes chain avalible for our cars also?

          The 3.8L is a chain. I do not believe that Cloyes offers a kit for the 3.8L.
