Unless it's freezing where you are, get a 160.

    I have a 160 on my 3.4L and haven't had any problems!

my car goes up to 210 and stays there. it think ill drop it back down to 180. i had a 160 on my 93 and it sucked in winter. im down here next to beach so anything below 40 is really cold. my heater did not heat up for nothing. so ill get at least a 180. is there anything higher then that but not in 210 range?? when i start up my car and its like in the 180-195 range it rocks.

Get a 160 one, but be prepared to spend more time warming up your car in the winter, and expect a small drop in your city gas mileage.

My 01 always threw an SES with a 160. So I went back to the 180. Supposedly the 2000 won't throw the same code.

180 is the way to go, unless u are a drag only person- the 180 is more realistic. my car stays at 195 on the stock thermo, I thought it was all 4½ gens had 180s. 99 =/ guess we are all dumb, its in teh tech section.

                edit,yeah like the 98 + have 180s

NEVER. This has been a problem with the tech database FOREVER. All Fbody 3.8's I know of come with 195s and thats just how it is! (The exception is the Grand Prix GTP).

The fix for this is a simple 18KOhm resistor in the IAT sensor. I have plenty, email me and I'll mail you one if you want it.

                    All 01-02s have this issue.

You cant get the 18KOhm resistor from radioshack, they just dont carry that flavor.
