This doesn't happen when I have my car at park. I can rev it up to 4k and it is smooth. But once I put it to drive I hear a slight clagging noise, mostly on 1st gear running at 1.5k at the street. I know it's not the driveshaft because even when my car is not moving I can still hear it.
I don't have my supercharger on and I took off my other mods because I had to pass smog and inspection.
So I'm wondering if some of you guys have this problem and know what it is?
Maybe the CAT heat sheilding or the CAT itself rattling or coming apart. Or the tensioner is going bad.

I have to say U-joint. Even though your not moving, you still have tension on it when in drive (why you dont hear it in park). Do you hear it in neutral?
My CAT didnt even make a noise when moving when it was bad.
My CAT would only make the noise while moving for some reason. Thats why I couldn't find it for awhile. Exhaust shop found it when installing a O2 bung. The tensioner is another one that was ifffy, but finally was able to determine it was bad. Heat sheilds I just take them off, they are a pain when you here a rattle, so I took mine off so I know its not them when something is loose. Also check the whole exhaust to make sure it is secure.

It could be the cat, because when the engine is not under load it runs a little smoother and shakes the exhaust system less. If it's heat shields you of course can remove them, otherwise you could daisy-chain some hose clamps together to wrap around the cat and extend its life for awhile. But it won't be too long probably before the catalyst goes out just because it's getting worn out.
On my other car, when the heat shields went, and then when the catalyst went, the rattling noise was only occuring at low speeds and gentle acceleration.
