Hey, I just bought my 2000 3800 Camaro a few months ago. My buddy then bought a 2000 GrandAm GT (4 dr). Both cars completely stock, with the exception of the performance exhaust on my camaro. He tells me because of weight differences, losing power to rear wheels, his is quicker. (both are automatic transmition) I have looked at online postingsand ever 0-60 or quarter mile time for the camaro has been at least one second quicker. Does anyone have official stats for both?
BTW, new to the posting, check out my car if your bored, and hey everyone, how ya doin.

I just raced a 2000 GT the other day in my 3.4 lightly modded. His was probably stock, but he got me off the line, but I passed him around 40-45, and had about 1 1/2 lenghts on him at about 80. Close race, fun as hell. You'll have no problem in your 3.8. Good luck!
The 2 door gt's run mid 15's stock. Also the 4 door isn't far from it. Race him and find out, depending on who gets the jump, they will win.

I just traded in my 2000 Grand Am for my 2001 V6 Camaro and I can definitely tell you it will be close off the line but the 3800 holds it's power a little higher up in the RPMs so you should smoke him, a lot like twistedbird94 said above.. should be a fun race... I used to keep up with Mustang GT's in my Grand Am.. jeeeezzz those guys hated it..

I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
