Alright, to start off the car is a 94 3.4 Auto. Last friday I turned on my car and it had a horribley rough idle, almost like it was out of balance making the entire car shudder. It's not that though because the engine doesn't shake when I rev it in park.

Also, I have lost a ton of power. I'm pretty sure this is related because on gas I can still feel the engine shaking. Under slight load on the highway the shake is worse than ever. The whole car shakes and every little rattle gets twice as loud.

It almost feels like I'm not firing on one cylinder but I don't have a SES light and I replaced all the plugs and wires just to make sure one of those wasn't loose.

One thing that has been mentioned to me is that my timing is off, but I can't figure out what could have thrown it off.

After some research on here I am tempted to say it might be the maf or knock sensors. But obviously i'm not sure what it is so I would appreciate some suggestions as to how to fix my poor car.

i had a similar problem where my car lost power like that and the car shook also...i would floor it and it would barely accelerate and would top out at 25mph. What ended up being the problem for me was the TPS (throttle positioning sensor) located on the throttle body bt keep in mind my car is a 99. i changed that and it was better also did an oil change bv i found out it had too much oil and other problems similar to these occurred. though u didnt get a ses light or anything? i got a "reduced engine power light" so im not sure if the case is the same for you..my 2 cents

Yeah, I'm not getting any SES light at all. Also I can make it up to highway speeds. Accelerating up to speed takes forever but it will get there.
