Weird POP when car started.........

OK....I went to start my car which I haven't driven in a couple days, and I turned the key but didn't hold on quite long enough for the engine to turn over...I'm sure all of us have experienced this..BUT..there was one large POP I heard somewhere toward the front of the car.. ..So I attempt to start the car again and it really struggles to start but it finally kicks in very roughly and idles a bit funny..I gave it a few revs and all seemed fine...The POP was NOT from the rear exhaust..it was from somewhere toward the front of the car(sounded like engine)... my car has around 80,000 miles and is well maintained..this has never happened..Oh yeah, I put Chevron techron fuel ingector cleaner in with ten gallons of gas a couple of weeks ago and I don't drive my car much so my tank is still half-full....any ideas why this happened...car drives fine now and starts fine?

fuel injector cleaner is the same as ether with detergent in it. Could have been some residual cleaner in the cylinders and then when you turned over the car it pre-ignited. That stuff is kinda sketchy in my opinion. When it says on the bottle not to use any more than 10,000 miles.....I dunno. If your car is running fine now, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
