well, the reason i did headers was because my cat went badso i took it out and welded in a pipe. then one day i decided to take off the y pipe and fix the crappy welds i did and when i went to turning nuts one broke off in the manifold, so i knew i had to take off the manifold so why not replace them with headers. so i ran with no cat, so the only mod i really did was headers and 2.5 inch piping. i would attribute alot of the gain from the headers. i can take comparison pics tomorrow if you would like.

I think we both misunderstood each other.
I thought you just decided to do a full exhaust (props, either way) from the get-go.
My question was more directed at the fact that I've already done my exhaust (sort of, I used 2.25" pipe, I'd love to do 2.5" but it's pricey, and college has to come first) and I wanted to know if taking it all apart again to do headers was really worth it.
no, im a 20 year old broke a$$, i had to drive around for about two weeks with open headers before i could get the whole thing finished. at any rate, i would believe that headers are a very good mod, with good gains, and a supporting mod for future mods.

Haha, I would assume you either loved those two weeks, or it was a headache after 5 minutes.

Haha, it sounds like mine when I had my muffler off, almost. I had all the piping on, dumping over the axle... Started it up just for S's and G's, and it sounded pretty intense.
