i think it detects the air temp<a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2245261\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2245261</a> Green 1997, 105k, all stock except for Z28 front springs, Air shocks in the rear, home made coolant recovery tank, home made battery hold down.

GET THE ONE FROM RKSPORT. i replaced mine with that. it was about $20 and it was supposed to add like 5-7 hp. i didnt really notice that much of a difference. but every little bit helps, ya know?

I'm a pretty strong advocate of not messing with the IAT sensor. But if you do, certainly not for 30 bucks and don't expect to get 5 hp from it (more like 1, but only in really hot ambient temps).Matt
