Re: A quick question to those with Modified cars -
do a lot of my own work but there are things beyond my limits mainly due to TIME and TOOLS. sometimes the tool needed to get the job done costs more than it is to pay someone to do it
Re: A quick question to those with Modified cars -
to each his own skill level.
when i first got my car i didnt know jack about working on it, and over time, i've learned (either on my own, or getting help when needed) to do just about everything on my mods list including installing my headers, shocks and suspension, and bolt ons.
i'm about to tackle changing out my rotors when i pick up my new ones, and eventually i'd like to be able to do my own h/c down the road when the time comes.
it's just a learning experience man, and i'm always eager to try more. but a word to the wise---if you're in too deep, never be ashamed to ask for help before you mess up.
if you car is already up on jackstands/lift, its like 2 bolts to unhook the driveshaft lol..
dont be scared to work on your car. youre gunna be safe on the majority of the stuff. the only thing would be internal engine work, you can destroy your engine if you make a mistake there
it takes 4 bolts on the autos and 6 bolts on the manuals
replacing the clutch wasnt too bad, i did mine on jack stands in my garage
my car came stock with a 2 piece drive shaft
2 peice drive shafts have a carrier in the center. four bolts at the diff, and two for the carrier.
and i think 99+ had one piece.
