If I had $1500, I'd be all over that, granted I have no idea where your "local" is in relation to mine.

Ahh, okay. That's cool. I'm Northern Iowa during the summers, Central Iowa in the winters for school.

I just noticed in your sig, you've got your RWHP at 200.4hp... what mods is that on?

Wow, doesn't look like it took much to get it to that - I'd bet the tune had a lot to do with it.

I've been curious what I'd dyno at, but haven't found a dyno near me to try it out...

do a lot of my own work but there are things beyond my limits mainly due to TIME and TOOLS. sometimes the tool needed to get the job done costs more than it is to pay someone to do it

to each his own skill level.

when i first got my car i didnt know jack about working on it, and over time, i've learned (either on my own, or getting help when needed) to do just about everything on my mods list including installing my headers, shocks and suspension, and bolt ons.

i'm about to tackle changing out my rotors when i pick up my new ones, and eventually i'd like to be able to do my own h/c down the road when the time comes.

it's just a learning experience man, and i'm always eager to try more. but a word to the wise---if you're in too deep, never be ashamed to ask for help before you mess up.

dont be scared to work on your car. youre gunna be safe on the majority of the stuff. the only thing would be internal engine work, you can destroy your engine if you make a mistake there
it takes 4 bolts on the autos and 6 bolts on the manuals

Mine was only 4 bolts on a manual.

I'm still stuck on my clutch/cylinder swap. It's parts I'm having trouble with.

I've heard clutches are a PITA to replace?

Just looking to see if that's true... I have an A4, so it doesn't much matter to me at this point in time...

im pretty sure all manuals came with a 2 piece driveshaft, it should have been 6 bolts

replacing the clutch wasnt too bad, i did mine on jack stands in my garage

my car came stock with a 2 piece drive shaft

2 peice drive shafts have a carrier in the center. four bolts at the diff, and two for the carrier.

and i think 99+ had one piece.

it takes 2 bolts for the driveshaft center brace, and 4 bolts that hold the u joint on.

i guess you can just loosen two of the u joint bolts and just spin them
