Re: car starting up longer than usual
Blue smoke tends to be a sign of oil consumption. Check to see if the exhaust smells of gasoline.
If it does, pull the vacuum line that runs from the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold. If there's any fuel in it, the diaphragm in the fpr has gone bad and is leaking fuel into the intake.'99 Camaro

Re: car starting up longer than usual
i would say idle air is your problem, it is probably hanging on startup, and causing too much of a rich condition, hence the grayish smoke.. the blue is another story, and is oil, which can be caused by a ton of things.. head gasket, bad rings, etc.

the first thing i would do is pull the IAC sensor (idle air) and clean it with some carb and choke cleaner
its located on the throttle body, IIRC there are two sensors on the TB, the TPS and IAC, the tps will be located on the opposite side as the throttle plate, and the iac is a bit further up, it comes off with a few torx bits, and when you take it out, it looks like a little cone with a spring on it

Originally posted by cam98aro View Postit was just a guess, but you are getting too much fuel, so you need to check everything fuel related

To the OP, try this first:

If the FPR is bad, you can buy a replacement one from a parts store like Autozone or O'Reily's for $40.
If it's not leaking, try pulling the MAF and cleaning the wire.'99 Camaro
