hey ya'll-could use some info/advice if anybodys did this before--im trying to change a bad windshield wiper motor & about ready to loose my religion! (lol!) -any clue as to if there's a tab or something hidden up under the wiper arm that wont let it just pull off or are they supposed to just pull straight up once you've taken the nut off? could just need a shot of p.b.blaster? -thanks (forgive me if there's a thread somewhere, but if there is, i misses it-but i AM a little on the computer challanged side of things-lol)

get on top of your windshield/hood and wiggle the crap out of the wiper arms back and forth while pulling straight up, they will pop off.

they should just pull straight up.. and oh yeah, dont open the hood with the wipers up, or you will be having fun replacing your cracked windshield

yeah, lets hope & pray i dont have to replace a windshield-progress so far: wipers off-took off hood(fyi-have 3 people to help)& used a small 3" 3jaw puller-a friend said he didnt have to remove hood on his firebird, but on my camaro the hood was back to far to get puller in on drivers side wiper arm-they are a wierd tapered toothed cone compression fit-next the bushings where the wiper motor sits up next to firewall were NOT in the box with the new motor & thats what was making my wipers jump around all crazy-those bushings were worn out & deteriated(read: crumbled into little peices) my quest for today is to find those bushings(if thats the proper name?) & try to get the new motor in-then gotta try to get hood back on & lined up(heads up-always scribe an outline to give you a guidline to aligning the hood) ok, back to it, if your a person of faith, send prayers, if not...send money, guns, & lawers! LOL!
