So i looked under my 1999 v6 bird today, and was exploring the possiblity of throwing on a high flow cat as my next performance part. It seems that the headers bolt on to the y pipe and the y pipe and cat are all one piece. Just aft of the cat, it bolts on to the single pipe which allows the exhaust to flow to the muffler, and out the dual tips. My question is: in order to install a new cat, do i have to buy a new cat and y pipe assembly? or just have to buy the cat and have it welded to the y pipe. Cheers!
Now, how badly do YOU want to see my brake lights?

Pacesetter headers, 3 inch y pipe, high flow cat, magnaflow catback, many suspension mods, intake, built a4 with 3200 torque converter, 5 angle head job, dis 4, firewires, etc etc....

....A - you posted in the wrong area....thats why there is "intake and exhaust"

B- no, u just have to buy the cat, take it to an exhaust shop and they'll weld it into place for you.
