Look at the drivers front of your underhood and you should find an vacuum routing diagram. If you put a small dab of rtv sealant on the hard plastic barbed fittings before you slide the hose onto you can avoid some vacuum leaks.
one question,in the diagram the evap canister switch has two ports for a hose on each side, mine has the same two and it has another one that is smaller and right next to where it plugs in.does anyone have an evap switch with 3 hose connected to it.
does anything plig into this part of the evap canister switch,i looked at a couple diagrams and couldn't find anything that plugs into here, does it need to be open or blocked off, this is the only thing stopping me from running my car, please help.
i was wrong, i found a diagram, its for a 96-97 5.7L but the part is the same, all it is, is a vent. not vacuum, my mistake. take a look its number 15. http://shbox.com/1/1996_evap.jpg
Yes its a vent, mine has gone out on me for about 3 years now, just smells like gas alittle bit when idleing for awhile, I just turned off my codes and took the Evap stuff out of the engine bay. If I ever get time I will get the whole line and the canister back there.

Mine only has 2 ports. Have you checked the diagram under your hood? If you cant find anything that looks like it hooks up there, I would cap it for now. You can get an assortment of caps at the parts store.
