For a normal person, no. For you, set aside a weekend ;)

Only thing that would make it "hard" is you have a turbo in the way ;) Otherwise its very easy.

shane, it took me 25 minutes to take the old one off and put teh new one on, and that includes coolant changing.

"These badboys" are extremely easy to replace the most difficult part will likely be removing the old gasket.

shane..im having sorta same trouble..only i locatedmy problem...my water pumps weep hole is leaking water..so bad that withing 2 hours all the water will drain out and it will over heat..teh water pump on the 3.8 is a matter of taking off 4 bolts (easier if belt is left on)then take belt off and teh pulley and unscrew all 6 bolts..2 different sizes..can't recall the 2 sizes..but once its out you may want to take a razor and scrape the old gasket off and get a new one..why do i get the feeling this is some sort of joke.. if it is haha, jokes on me. if not then good luck with teh water pump...also if any of you know how to take the pump fan off the water pump that would be awesome to know

i rarely tell people to search, but they should.

and what does searching have to do with bringing up old posts?

They search... The find a post, maybe quite old, because they searched, they reply to it because they found a post that deals with what they are talking about and they don't want to get yelled at for making a new thread?
