    does anyone have a guide to doing this? the one on install university sort of confused me, so i was just wondering if there was a different one somewhere...

        Do a search on here in the forums. I found one that i used a while back.

        Basically just unbolt the hose near the egr tube (the big coolant hose) and the thermo is under that. Change it out, then top off coolant and unscrew the small bleedvalve just enough to have it squirt out while running until the bubbles cease and it becomes a stream. Now is when you top off. (stick with a 185 at lowest imo)

          great, thanks.

          edit: i went with a jet 180*, i heard that the 160's could set off a code, and that the 180 wasnt any worse really.

            dont over torque the bolts like i did twice.
            its really easy to break that housing/waterneck!

              Haynes manual. basicaly they suck but they are still good to have.

              there is some very proprietary and advanced mechanicals in these cars...such as the multi step method for topping off the coolant that a haynes manual will make you aware of.
