Weird A/C problem

i have a weird a/c problem. the a/c works fine, but when i accelerate the air changes from blowing at my face to blowing through the window defroster, and at my feet. its getting really annoying because now its doing it when the car starts and it does not start blowing at my face till like 2 min or so and living in miami i need my a/c to be working right. any suggestions???

where the AC is blowing through is controlled by vacuum.
Check/ listen for a vacuum leak, check where the connector goes onto the back of the dial, there is a boost ball on the car that is supposed to retain vacuum pressure when there is a drop in engine vacuum.

ok so i fixed it thanks for helping it was a plastic thing that creates vacuum under the hood. i had to take my car to a mechanic to change the catalytic converter and to another guy to change the fuel pressure regulator, and he found the vacuum leak. pretty decent guy only charged me 130 to change the FPR i know that is one hell of a job.
