I was talking with a guy at autozone about replacing my fuel pump and he told me that if I were to get any high volume fuel pump I'd have to also replace the regulator and injectors also due to the high amount of fuel now being pushed. Is that true?

Re: fuel pump
I know you would need bigger injectors at some point because eventually you will max them out. But if your stock, or just have bolt-ons I dont think bigger injectors are absolutely needed.
I have no idea about the regulator, everytime ive read about swapping fuel pumps people just replaced it with a walboro 255 and went with bigger injectors, never heard anything about a regulator, but I dont know much about it, so hopefully someone else can chime in.

Re: fuel pump
You don't need to replace anything else just because you get a high-volume pump. High volume doesn't mean higher pressure, and unless your regulator can't handle the extra volume you'll be fine. I recently put one of the Racetronix pumps (designed for the LS1 cars) in mine, and it runs fine. I haven't checked the fuel pressure (mostly because I can't find the right fitting for my gauge...), but I haven't seen any sign that the injectors/regulator can't handle the extra volume.
