low rpm's

my rpm's are dropping at cruising speed, they drop to 1500. what can cause this??

umm sounds normal.... going into overdrive to save ur gas.

really i tough i was tripping out, it doest it when in between 2 and third. i havent gottent in on the highway after the shift kit install

yeah i dont think its anything to worry about. i dont have a shift kit so i cant help there. it also depends on what gears ur running as to what rpms u run. but i cruise under 1.5 rpms a lot and i have 3.42 gears.... in fact i like to try to keep it at 1.5k cuz i like the way it sounds between 1.5-1.8k lol

the lower the gear number the less rpms it should run... so that sounds right

With my 3.73 gears and Transgo it shifts down to around 1500-2000 so I would say its normal.

the only that i might find weird is that when the rpms are down and i give it some gas it downshifts to go move.

sounds normal to me... it doesnt have a lot of power down in there in a high gear, so it downshifts when u want more speed
