  • How do you change those Ignition Coils???

I've been fumbling around with them and I can't even break them loose. Just to be sure... what size socket do you need to get the bolts off?

7mm... one on each side of the coil, then they lift off.

Uh, mine were 5.5 mm, had to buy a socket at the parts store. One of the bolts was fused to the bracket underneath the module and had to be drilled out!! Hopefully that is not your problem too.

easiest way to get em off w/o stripping the smallazz bolts that hold them in is to take the whole tray off that they sit on. Its 3 bigger bolts, and a flat wiring harness in the back with a bolt in the middle of it. Take the whole assembly out, and it makes it MUCH, MUCH easier. Thats what i did for my DIS-4 install, and it worked great.
