I've been fumbling around with them and I can't even break them loose. Just to be sure... what size socket do you need to get the bolts off?

Uh, mine were 5.5 mm, had to buy a socket at the parts store. One of the bolts was fused to the bracket underneath the module and had to be drilled out!! Hopefully that is not your problem too.http://photos.yahoo.com/bethann375

1999 firebird, dark blue metallic, 5-speed, t-tops, kenny brown sfc\'s, high-flow cat, dynomax super turbo muffler, K&N filter, silver Firebat decals

easiest way to get em off w/o stripping the smallazz bolts that hold them in is to take the whole tray off that they sit on. Its 3 bigger bolts, and a flat wiring harness in the back with a bolt in the middle of it. Take the whole assembly out, and it makes it MUCH, MUCH easier. Thats what i did for my DIS-4 install, and it worked great.
