my ride is 92 v6 3.1 pontiac firebird. should i have oil light in it? i do have oil light logo in the dash board,but i dont see it flashing not even when i change oils.

92 firebird and oil light??

I think the light is supposed to illuminate when you turn the key to the "on" position until you start the car. After that the pressure should build up almost instantly and the light will go off. If that doesn't happen you may have a bad bulb.
