what is the piece called that the combo lever goes into?

is that the turn signal switch that looks like the cancel cam?

    Re: turn signal question

The cruise control/wiper lever goes into the turn signal switch. It's relation to the turn signal is that it is the lever, but the switch is internal to the steering column.

The cancel cam houses the horn wire and does not look like the turn signal switch except for possibly a match in color. You must remove the cancel cam to access the turn signal switch.

Yep, that's the turn signal switch and what the turn signal lever fits into.

Also, make sure the steering wheel is positioned in the straight ahead position so that the airbag coil can be reinstalled properly. If you have a shop manual it should detail the necessary steps for all of this. If you need any more help, don't hesitate to ask.

A harmonic balancer puller should work as long as you have the correct bolts to thread into the steering wheel itself. Most of these types of pullers I've used come with an assortment of bolts for a variety of tasks. I know the one I have in my toolbox is labeled as a steering wheel/harmonic balancer puller.

just for future reference, i need a "pivot and pulse switch" NOT the turnsignal switch

Could have sworn it was all one piece. Oh well, I stand corrected. Thanks for clearing that up and sorry to have misinformed you.

nope, and the thing that sucks is no parts stores have it, i think it is a dealer only part

edit* it is also called the windshield wiper switch
