Well sorry i was trying to help you, ill remember that next time. Im only using the same F*cking software that the dealerships use, but what do i know, im only in college for auto repair and have 6 ASE Master techs as teachers....... P.S. i have the pictures of where and how many bolts/ what size they are but after the lovely responce you have given me, im not taking the time to download them and host them so you can use them. Have fun.

Tact is on sale at Wal-Mart. Might want to go check it out.
Fenderman, thanks a lot for finding that first thread, thats real good. I'm going to give this another go this weekend. Hopefully the extra knowledge should put me over the hill towards success lol.
Well how about that, you DO have to remove the power steering pulley.......and i was the one being an azzhole.
whether you are right or wrong you don't need to blow up on someone because they don't agree with you...you can explain yourself further to help them understand...from his perspective the bolts he could see behind the pulley he could remove, I think he thought that you needed to remove the pulley strictly to get to those bolts...a simple further explanation or advice goes along way.
There are many ways to go about doing things...sometimes you can get away without doing certain things...like cam swaps, half the people need to remove the rad/fans, the other half don't...

Thats blowing up...like I said, its great that you got that info, and Im sure quite a few 3.4 guys will use it...but whether your 100% right or wrong, there is no need to go off like that and refuse to give more info...just because the OP didnt fully understand and disagreed with you...in this profession you are gunna deal with alot of guys who you will say your car needs this or that...and they will tell you "well my dads buddies ex girlfriends brother said no I need this..." you have to be patient and educate people...not just jump on em like that...
if your not and you open your own buisness, you may be hard pressed for customers when you have an attitude like that...and you could be 100% right all the time...its just how you deal with the people...
I did not have to take the pulley off of my p/s pump to take the brackets off the p/s pump to get to the water pump. Of course, I am lazy and figure out how to use the right wrench to get the job done. BTW, I have a 94 3.4 Bird. I did have to take the pulley off when the p/s pump went bad to be able to put it on the new p/s pump.
Thats kinda what I thought. The mechanic's directions include pulley removal because its faster if you are using air tools and pulley pullers and have a full garage at your disposal.
Its time consuming and slightly difficult to remove the bolts behind the pulley wheel without removing the wheel but a man at GM was nice enough to design a hollow pulley wheel so its possible.

Whoa, be careful. You probably just turned jherald420's world upside down.
Sure did, that sh*t blew my mind.... sorry i do repair work the way the maker states it should be done.
just fyi, that isnt always the best way...the makers say you should pull our engines out the top....most people who have done rebuilds and engine swaps have found that pulling it out the bottom is a much more viable option...should try to have an open mind...
Its true, I'm an engineer at a design firm. If you asked me the best way to take apart one of my products I would tell you the way that would result in you having no chance of doing anything wrong and would be fastest using all of the tools that I had at my disposal. The way that someone else did it with different resources could be completely different. There isnt always one correct way to do things.
