If someone were to pour a can of seafoam into a cylinder while the engine is not running.

would there be any implications on a v6 that has 140k miles on it and has never been seafoamed?

Don't. You might loosen the gunk that forms the seals. It might cause more problems than it solves.

            NIKo-97 i agree with you.
Honestly I seafoamed the hell out of my car when i did it. My car has 155.000 miles on it and IT DID not hurt a damn thing.:banana:and Ive only heard of a engine hydrolicing from a carborated engine and from fuel injection cars, but only because of a freak accident dealing with nos and 110 race fuel. Im not sure how SEA foam it more potent than nos. or race fuel...but i could be wrong.
Also, if i may add. i think im going to do this once every 2 months. Ive heard AMAZING results on people who do this regularly. It makes your engine more efficient.

hydrolocking has nothing to do with the type of fuel system it has, it happens when water, or some other non compressible fluid gets into the cylinder and the engine stops dead, usually bending the rods.

i have heard of people burning holes in their pistons doing it regularly, it is NOT needed, once a year is plenty

THe best way I've used it was buying 3 cans. I put one in the gas tank, one in the crank case and I attached one to a vaccuum.

My car smoked like a chimney. I was afraid that the neighbors would call the EPA on me.

My car smoked for 3 days. I have people yelling out from their window "your car is on fire."

seriously?!?!?!? if you have 'gunk' holding your stuff together, it's time to get it fixed.

Does this Seafoam have any value if you just pour it into the fuel tank?

you can still hydrolock the engine with a petroleum based product, it is just not as easy because it combusts.

this is wrong, which is why you should NOT use it in the oil on a high mileage car, you will break up crap i nteh engine, and clog your lifters, or get junk in the bearings.

Similar to high mileage transmission flushes.

I'm not going to read the seafoam sticky because I don't believe everything I read on the internet. CAPS LOCK CAPS LOCK CAPS LOCK UNDERLINE BOLD CAPS LOCK CAPS LOCK!!!

Prove me wrong. Dump a bunch of seafoam in your engine while it's not running and video it. Otherwise.. calm down?
