My car's at 88,000 miles right now and had a new engine put in at 72,000. I've had a problem with my air conditioner, from what I remember, ever since the engine was replaced where the air coming out of it is no longer cold. When I turn the heater on it blows out hot air just fine, but when I turn it all the way down to the coldest setting on A/C or Max A/C it gets no cooler than just about regular room temperature. I tried recharging the A/C system with refrigerant, but that didn't make any difference. When I started looking around on the car I noticed that the two fans behind the radiator weren't turning on when I turned the A/C on or even under regular idle like it normally did (before the new engine for sure). Could this be a cause of the air conditioner not blowing out cold air? Also, what could be wrong with the fans to keep them from running and what would be some recommended solutions to getting them running again? I was not able to check to see if the fans were running while I was driving for obvious reasons. The thermostat also showed the temperature to be in the normal range (210 I think?... not next to the car right now).
Like I said, all this seemed to start happening when the engine was replaced.
