  • dent in oil pan....

even since i bought my car there has been a moderate dent in the oil pan. it looks like someone bottomed it out or a huge rock hit it or something. ive never had any problems with it, and i can add pretty much the full 4.5 quarts. is there anything i should be aware of? just curious

No, not really. Just don't hit it again. Or at least until you drop the pan to replace the gasket. And while you've got it out, go ahead and bang that dent back out.

its been there a while. never noticed any oil leaks at all. so no problems there.

i might try to bang it back out soon.

I also have a dent in mine. Not sure how it got there, but i have not had any problems.
I noticed when tightning the oil drain plug the oil pan will bend
