I have one that is similar to that, but mine has a 1ft cord attached to it. It's one of the best things I've bought for my car since I've owned it. It's cheaper than a GM Dealer, and erases the code(s) after they are read. Definately a best buy!

I got a refurbished one at www.autocheckup.com I really liked the service...when my wife left the top down and it rained the scanner was drowned...he replaced it for free...even tho it was over a year old.

I got mine free from work. They only wanted us to use it for a year. but they are normally $150. ebay is the best place to get it.

                  Advanced sells the obd2 scanner
and also for some extra cash you can get the reader than can Scan obd1 and 2. And also give live data from the engine.
