    is this the fuel pump that most people upgrade to? Even though it says 5.7 on the listing?

    Looks the same , but there are some on ebay that are $100 shipped , I went with the high flow version 255, I have one in the car since 2002, and also have a spare one I bought in like 03' becuase I thought mine was bad but the line was just off the pump. The high flows will have better high end top flow where the reg. ones will start to fall off. They have a chart that shows them side by side. But I think the 96-97 pumps are different than the newer style you have. Good luck with it, if you can ditch the bucket and use hose clamps to put everything together mine came out pretty good. You could also PM 97RS4Life since he sells them too, see if he can hook you up with the right pump.Thanks again for your help yesterday.

      yea that's the one to go with. I am out of them right now and have to special order them from granatelli. So it takes 1-2 weeks for mine to get drop shipped. Looks like summit has them in stock right now

          its actually not the right pump, it does not have the ventri port and you need to cut the bucket to make it work, so i guess ill be sending it back

              i didnt want to ditch the bucket, wanted to keep the ventri port and the new pump does not have provisions for that.

              sooooo...

                  Cutting the bucket open at the top and modifing it and using a safe glue for gasoline to put it back together. Theirs a writeup somewhere on the net. I know I used hose clamps to put everything back together for mine works perfect. Like 97RS4LIFE I don't know about the newer ones, but would like to have the plastic gas tank for weight loss. LOL
