  • What about Accel 9045 wires?

    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ACC-9045/

Yes, they are expensive but the heat shielding and 90 degree angles on both ends look VERY promising! Does anyone have any experience with these? Seems these would be better than ideal for those of us with headers installed. Could very well be worth the money.

I like MSD 8.5 wires myself, but this last time I got ZZP 10.3 mm wires in black , their straight boot but I use ($30)1500 degree boot protectors and never have any problems. Their 8mm so I would look at MSD and see what they have.

I've got the boot protectors but I liked the idea that these wires were 90 degrees on both ends and the motor side is coated in a high-heat resistant material. Could hurt to have the extra protection. Not sure it's worth $85 for a set, though. I'd like to see if anyone else is running them to get a comment or two.

I'm also curious to see if people still like the E3 plugs after 30k or so on their cars. ;)

Sounds good, I was going to try the E3 plugs on mine but will be going FI again running NGK TR6 plugs. Horepower T.V. did a test on the E3's and had positive gains on a LS1 engine with putting out lower emissons. Too bad they don't make E3 plugs for FI. Good luck

I dont think E3s are popular on the 3.8s....actually ehard of people having their car run worse. Id stick with some regular copper plugs.

You like copper better than platinums?

Copper does have a better spark transfer, but platinums will last longer, that why GM uses platinums in most their vehicles. My 96' Camaro lasted 105,000 miles on stock plugs with no problems.

I run the Accel 9000's. Had them on there for ~1 year and still doing well. They seemed like they were almost too long on a couple of the wires, but nothing you can't deal with using some creative routing. Lol. Oh, and I'm running TR6's gapped at .035 too :naughty:
