I don't know whats wrong. I was driving no more than about 3 minutes and all of the sudden the car shuts off. I noticed the service engine light came up right before it went off. I pulled into a gas station that i was close to (thank god). I tried starting it up. it started, then died. tried again.... it startd then died. I put some gas in it. started, then died. I keep hearing a hissing/poping noise everytime it shuts off. Anyone know?

Okay, I'll admitt, I was stumped so I brought out the bible (my Haynes manual).
I previously had a vacuum link melt on my 3.4 - but it stil ran. So here's what the bible has to say.
(P 0-18, section 7)
<blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Engine Stars by stops immediately
1. Loose or damaged wiring in the ignition system.
2. Intake manifold vacuum leaks. Make sure all mounting bolts/nuts are tight and all cacuum hoses connected to the manifold are attached properly and in good condition.

Go over the vacuum lines on top of your engine. Mine actually collapsed and was fixed by removing the collapsed section. We used a spare peice of vacuum line to join everything back together.
Car is fixed now. we had to take it to the dealership :( . They found a loose ground wire somewhere in the engine compartment that was causing it to shut down. i'm not really sure where . Then they said I needed new brakes so i got a new brake job. Then I got some new tires :D . All together it was around $700 for everything
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
