sensors o.k.
but i see a slight black smoke comming of the exhaust,, i changed my fuel pump ones maybe they gave me a Z-28 one i guess

When did you last do a tuneup? That might help, are you noticing anything else like misfiring? My car was running rich and it turned out to be a bad plug, but I got misfires too.

a misfire can be bad or not so bad. it may just feel like a loss of power over time, as a plug fouls. or it may feel like "jerky" when you accelerate.

change the plugs and wires. always the #1 step in gas mileage problem diagnosis

Yeah, I've had 'bad' misfires that are a pretty obvious feel like the car is jerking and hesitating and the engine light comes on, but sometimes they aren't so bad and might not trip the engine light right away. Definitely get new plugs and wires and see if that helps.

how many miles on car?

try new O2's

black smoke can be carbon biuld up buring off, try some sea foam (do a search for this) or get slick 50 kit from a parts store that has the gas and oil adiitve in it. or both. (not at same time do the sea foam first then do the treatments.

Hey 3.4,
Is the car throwing an SES? Even if not, I'd run it by Autozone anyway and let them scan it. You never know with these f-bodies.
Silverfire....How's it goin' over there in Panama City. I heard through the grapevine that an old childhood hang out of mine is callin' it quits in September (Miracle Strip Amusement Park). I hope to get my kids over there next week when we vacation in Perdido Key. I wouldn't want them to miss out on a piece of NW Florida history.
Blessings...and lets keep prayin' away those hurricanes!

Seriously....I get my kids AWAY from the water over there when it gets like that. Its really beautiful over there. I tell my wife all the time that If I didn't have all the ties I have here, I'd want to be a missionary to the Northwest Florida beach area(LOL). I have been going there since I was a kid. Now I take my kids to that area to show them what a kid I still am. Sorry for hijacking, back to the program already in progress.

Don't worry about going to Autozone to get them to scan it...they can't cuz we are ODB1. They only do 96+. All they will do is stick a jumper key into it, which is something that you can do at home. Just take a paperclip and jump the two upper right terminals in the ALDL.

Or if you know someone with a Tech 1, get them to scan it for you. I got my brother to scan mine where he works.

I agree with everyone else about the wires and o2's. How long has it been since you changed the fuel filter and the differential fluid? I know they can effect gas mileage too.
