What kind of gas milage are you getting? set your trip the next time you fill up... Miles divided by Total Gallons gives you MPG I think. Also what year is your car? Is your car hesitating? Do you have a hard time starting it up? Plugs and Wires can be the primary but not ONLY source of misfires... I cured my last misfire issue... by replacing a dieing battery...

I had thought about being mature too, Beth, but I'm an accountant, and also getting ready to start taking the CPA exam, so I have to vent my immaturity somewhere.....lol

Just to specify divide by Total Gallons you put in it. Miles driven / gallons used. This is important when trying to decide if your getting bad gas mileage and exactly how bad.

black smoke can be carbon biuld up buring off, try some sea foam (do a search for this) or get slick 50 kit from a parts store that has the gas and oil adiitve in it. or both. (not at same time do the sea foam first then do the treatments.

Or if you know someone with a Tech 1, get them to scan it for you. I got my brother to scan mine where he works.
how do i do that?? just jump them and ready??
do i have to see some thing??
I agree with everyone else about the wires and o2's. How long has it been since you changed the fuel filter and the differential fluid? I know they can effect gas mileage too.
