I bought my friends 98 camaro V6, and was wanting to get my 99 camaro tuned at Texas Speed.
I was wondering instead of taking my computer out and not being able to drive my car,
Can I just take his out(which I'm parting anyways) and tune it to my specifications?
I wouldn’t think so but hey, what I would recommend is call Texas Speed and ask them. They would be able to tell you a definite answer considering they are the ones you plain on going through.
It would have to be completely reprogrammed with the 99 program, and even then I don't know if the pinouts would be the same. The drive-by-wire stuff obviously isn't present in the 98, and I don't know if the 98 PCM would even have those pins available for it.
